Comeback album The Cult also available as double disc set

The special edition version of the latest The Cult album "Born Into This" - their 8th studio effort so far - includes a bonus 5 track CD. Included on this bonus disc are the following tracks: "Stand Alone", "War Pony Destroyer", "I Assassin (Demo)", "Sound of Destruction (Demo)" and "Savages (Extended Version)". "Born Into This" is the band's first studio album in six years and is out on Roadrunner on October 2nd. The material was produced by Martin Glover formerly bass player of the band Killing Joke. In more The Cult news, the band's appearance at Irving Plaza in New York City in early November 2006 was filmed and is also set to be released on DVD. Fontana North issued the DVD release, "The Cult New York City", in Canada on August 28th. There is currently no word yet on an international release date.
