Robert Smith has confirmed that the new The Cure album will not be released before October or November 2007. The Cure frontman also added that the South American tour will be pushed back to 2008 behind the European leg. The later releasedate will not withhold the band from playing new tracks live says Smith in his blog: "Seriously, this is a good thing as any new songs we play will be extra unknown..." The band's 13th studio album, which seems to be a double limited CD, will be preceded by a (download) single to be released in early September. The album has been recorded in the U.K. with Robert Smith on the producing helm and will be released on Suretone/Geffen.
