New Jersey electronic rock band Eye Kandy has signed a multi-album recording contract with NYC based Internet-label Primordial Music. The band's first release will be titled "Erasing The Past" and will be available for download on Thursday March 1st. This will be the bands first official release in almost 7 years. "Erasing The Past" collects 14 previously unreleased tracks recorded between 2000 and 2003 before the bands late 2004 breakup. This album is the first of two planned releases in 2007, the second being a re-release of the band's 1997 4-song demo combined together with 2000's 6 song EP titled "Dream Kill Dream" as well as bonus live tracks. "We've known Primordial Music founder Matt Collins for years, so naturally, we jumped at the opportunity to release our music through his label" says Eye Kandy guitarist James Zagorski. The band joins a roster of other eclectic artists such as Neuroplague, Porcupine Defense, Hazmat, and Despirator. Eye Kandy members Kaliss, Tom, Chris, Jen, and James have maintained a solid presence in the electronic music scene since the band's breakup. Tom worked on several projects and enjoyed stints with such acts like Bile, Godhead and Pigface. James went on to form electronic dance act The Panic Lift and has wrapped up shows on both coasts. Chris now fronts Life Cried, who has just released their debut album through Noitekk Records, and Kaliss is currently in the studio working on a new project titled Dream Kill Dream.
