Rare London show for Can founder Irmin Schmidt and Kumo

Irmin Schmidt, founder of the legendary German avant-garde rock group Can and Kumo (aka Jono Podmore), announce a rare UK date at the Jazz Café in London on 9th December 2008. It will be their first since the release of Schmidt and Kumo's latest album of electronic experimentalism, "Axolotl Eyes", a 2 disc set out now on Mute Records. A single disc edition of "Axolotl Eyes" will be released on 8th December to coincide with the show. Also available on 8th December is the 5.1 surround sound DVD of the sound installation "Flies, Guys and Choirs", first conceived by Schmidt and Kumo for London's Barbican Centre in 2001.
