Unlike what we reported first, it seems there will be indeed a 'real' single release after all for Dave Gahan's "Kingdom" single besides a download version and a 7". Expected are the following versions: a download-Single, a CDsingle, a Maxi-CDsingle and 12" vinyl besides the previously announced 7" picture vinyl single. Remixes have been made by Digitalism and Booka Shade, the latter made a club mix as well as a dub so Depeche-Mode.com reports. The single will also feature the non-album track "Tomorrow". If you want the remix of this track as well, be sure getting the 7" as it will be the only format featuring the remix. Remarkable is that the download version will be released on August 27th while the actual physical singles will only be released on October 8th, more than one month later. A first preview snippet has been (deliberately?) spread on the net and is being picked up rapidly by fans. Expect a moody song with vocal lines that remind us of the "Violator" era. And for those who like Gahan's absurd humour, check this new YouTube posting.
