Rhino and Fiction continue their reissue campaign for The Cure with deluxe 2-disc CD reissues of "The Top", "The Head on the Door", and "Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me" on August 8th in the USA, one day earlier in Europe. Both labels will also release a deluxe 2-disc edition of Robert Smith and Siouxsie & The Banshees’ Steve Severin’s side project The Glove’s only album, "Blue Sunshine". Each album has been remastered and features a second disc filled with previously unreleased music and rarities, as well as a booklet filled with lyrics, rare photos of the bands and tour memorabilia from the personal archives of vocalist Robert Smith along with a track-by-track commentary by U.K. music journalist, Johnny Black. The bonus disc of "The Top" gathers 17 tracks available for the first time, including home and studio demos, rough mixes, and live cuts. For the "The Head on the Door" the bonus disc is filled with 18 previously unreleased treasures, including live recordings of "The Baby Screams," "Sinking," and others from a 1985 Paris concert. "Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me" holds 18 previously unreleased tracks as bonuses, including studio demos of "Hot Hot Hot!!!" and "If Only Tonight We Could Sleep" and six live bootlegs. The second disc for "Blue Sunshine" features Smith's original vocal versions. Check below for some audio excerpts.
