Chicks On Speed forced to leave stage in Spain

The Chicks On Speed crew had one of the worst experiences of their 10 year musical career when they were dragged off stage at the Oxigena Festival in Spain 2 weeks ago. The news was spread via the Chicks on Speed Records Newsletter. In the mail the band says: "...we were physically violated and dragged off stage by security, Ortiz Padillo Promoters and commercial sponsors at Oxigena Festival, near Cordova, in Southern Spain. We were denied our right to perform at the festival as contracted and our fees were not honoured." According to the band the public attendance of the festival was extremely low and the promoters wouldn´t allow them to play for this reason, so they could claim insurance on the premise, of a cancelled headlining act. Still according to the band the promoters and sponsors falsely claimed that the band was late. The mail rants on by saying photo documentation was taken away, their camera was smashed and the memory card stolen. The chicks are well under the impression of what happened as the mail continues by saying that they are "pretty freaked out and scared by what we experienced." Video foottage, of what happened has been posted on YouTube at the link below. Ladytron who also performed at the festival say that all went great. Ladytron from their side also performed at the fest and said in a reaction that "the gig at Oxigena Festival was great..." So what really happened is still unclear.
