The dress that Oxfam has auctioned and advertised both in the media and in an Ebay auction as the famous Oscar dress reveals to be a reproduction work worn by Bjork during the Vespertine tour. The auction itself was changed at the last minute to say that it was a reproduction, causing many bidders to cancel their bids at the last moment. The dress had to be reauctioned because of the change of the auction description. The final amount paid for the dress was £5,350.00, substantially less than the £6,233.55, £6,100.00 or £6,300.00 bids that were placed during the first round.
