BMT COMBICHRIST EISDRIVE FIASCO!

To whom it may concern,

I wanted to set the record straight as to what went down at Brooklyn Music Terminal
on September 23rd.

I'll create a small timeline here of what went down and if you want more detail you can read my extended blathering below:

1. we managed to sell some tickets to the show which were printed from a PDF provided by the venue
1. we showed up on time to the venue
2. we got cut from the show because they "did'nt have time for us"
3. without notifying me ...they began refusing the BMT Combichrist/eisdrive tickets I had already sold to people and told those people that they would have to pay again.
4. They told people at the door that EISDRIVE never showed up!
5. I refunded everyone I was able to catch on site...except for those that purchased tix at Cafe Soundz (5 ppl I believe)
6. They venue refused to hold people at the door until Combichrist was done with their soundcheck and instead let people into the venue and were rude to Andy LaPlegua as well.
7. COMBICHRIST walked and rightly so.
8. The gig ceased to be anything people into the Industrial scene would pay to see.
9. COMBICHRIST,TERRORFAKT,ADAMX,TONIKOM and EISDRIVE went and got very drunk at Lucky13!




As many of you know from my repeated postings to publicize this gig, this venue requires bands to sell advance tickets to it's shows...letting the band keep a dollar or two while the clubrecoups the lion's share of a $15 dollar ticket. I was supposed to receive my official tix in the mail in early August but I never did. The club ignored repeated emails from early August to last week when they finally replied with a PDF file. Those were the tickets that I was selling at $13..$15 face value but I dropped my $2 profit so I could move them on such short notice.

ANYWAY we (EISDRIVE) showed up on time for this gig, loading up and busting ass through traffic to get there by 7 only to be told "we may have a problem" and then "you're CUT...we don't have time to get all the bands on"....then maybe this venue should'nt book more bands than they have time for...which says alot about how this sad ass little metal club is run. It also says alot about a club when they treat performers with hostility without any reason, however they seemed to go out of their way to roll out the red carpet for you if you had a guitar slung over your back...even if you rolled up late for load in.

Without notifying me in any way, the club refused to honor the tickets I had already sold to people...requiring people to pay AGAIN at the door and telling them that
"EISDRIVE never showed up!" When I caught wind of this I was able to refund the people I knew bought tix from me on site but there were unfortunately 5 others that had bought tickets to this event through Cafe Soundz..and to those people and to Bobby who runs CS I apologize PROFUSELY!
I certainly would'nt have got anyone much less a reputable shop like Cafe Soundz involved in this mess if I had any idea it would turn out like it did. The decisions that were made on the day were completely down to the venue cutting us and treating Industrial performers like shit which is apparently what they do best.

The gig truly ground to a halt when the club refused to hold people at the door during COMBICHRIST's soundcheck despite being requested to and were told to fuck off when they protested this...so COMBICHRIST walked out on the gig and who could blame them...this suck ass venue didnt deserve to have them perform...word to the wise for any Industrial acts that get gigs there...THEY WILL TREAT YOU LIKE SHIT...they don't care for our scene or know about it and if this can happen to an act as famous as Combichrist it can and will happen to you.

Once COMBICHRIST was no longer part of the gig...the gig really ceased to be as far as I'm concerned. All those who bought tix from me were interested in seeing Combichrist and I heard other who came down and heard that Combichrist wasnt performing walked off in disgust.
