Colony 5, hmm.. I don't know, it's hard for me to get into the new synthpop groups when the 80's stuff was really better. Only S.P.O.C.K. and sometimes Welle:Erdball comes close to that feeling. Very good production, varied sounds and the same voice, as always,
perhaps a bit more for the dancefloor. If you like their debut, then you like CM 12 too But the new songs remind me too much of Snuff, Laughingstock and so on... no actual further development, but a great album, no compromise Apr 12, 05 | 4:49 pm

I love the ant-zen label old and new releases, although some of the recent new bands leave a few things to be desired. "Salt" is a great artist and usually has a good eye (or ear) for talent.

So far so good with the Insekt - Teenmachine…ummm...weird title, but anyway the vocals are somewhat harsher than previous older works. Track 3 reminds me of NIN if you can believe that, but for the most part it's classic cold EBM. I'm half way through...BTW, it's well produced unlike their very early releases with loads of variation which is nice. 12 tracks 56 minutes...a very strong release so far…recommended! The jury is still out. Its vastly different to the first one...and different to Combi and IOC.
Quite a few guitars on the album, but not really played in an agressive way, really there for sound texture. In fact its not all that aggressive an album at all. Quite a few slow tracks too....and the uptempo ones are, well, just Ok, IMO. The first song on the CD, Aenimal, is awful. The next song is odd, I cant help singing it to myself, but at the same time, I know its just as bad as Aenimal.... weird. I can see a lot people liking the new ISC. Its okay. The 3rd disc is in the box is a waste. I don't care about screen savers and video (that was available already on their myspace or something). Yeah, a lot of box packages now consist of the regular CD plus a second disc of 3 goofy long filler soundtrack-ish tracks or like you say..."screen savers and video" which I don't need or watch. At least the latest :W box had 2 complete CD's of music and that's why I opted for the ISC 2CD version this time around. Like I said in another thread, the music just doesn't "grab" me this time...too commercial sounding IMHO. Some tracks are pretty good though..I dunno. You know what... I've been a avid fan of In Strict Confindence for a long.. long.. long... time... and after there last EP... I decided not even to buy their new album... i don't know but it's time I called it quits.. just as I would no long buy and bluntengel stuff... ISC is dead to me as well... IDK... I'm not even that pickie... there stuff just isn't compelling to me anymore.. it's produced really well.. i think I don't like the lyrics and the singing.. but to each his own

The thing I liked about the "Methodology" set was that you can hear how they recycled a lot of their early work (especially the material on CD1) into subsequent works. Resonance FM played the TG24 boxset over the course of a whole day a while ago.
