We discovered this morning that the Thunder of the Gods event for today cancelled! The shady ass promoter screwed everyone and bailed. The police are looking for him at this time! We are looking for a venue in Austin to book Hardwire, Xuber & Caustic for tonight! If anyone can help please advise as soon as possible! Many Thanx & hope to party tonight!

Now that just plain sucks. What the fuck is up with the promoter? Does he even have an excuse?

We ended up at Elyisum and got wasted! Good times & that area of Austin was a trip! Everyone we met was totally cool! Thanx for the fantabulous time & we'll see you in October with Spetsnaz!! ; )

I read some metal forum that was saying this festival failed cause their was a bunch of electro industrial bands playing.....which is sad if true cause I myself had only heard of like 4 bands on this bill.

Most of the people Ive sensed that are even more angry or in shock about the whole thing are members of or are industrial bands. This is the kind of thing we see or hear about on the metal scene quite a bit. If your a metal band and this is the first time you’ve experienced this, congrats you’be just had your cherry popped. I am by no means condoning what he did or taking up for him. He just got his popped too. He bit off more than he could chew and didnt man up and make the right calls at the right time.

Looks like they took the MySpace down.. was it supposed to be in Dripping Springs???

they wanted us to play and i politely declined (sensing clusterfuck) the real problem with the festival was that it was a "huge" festival with exactly 1 headliner (who probably would only get a couple hundred people even if they played in downtown austin), and 100 small/no-name bands, many of them austin bands who all share the same local fanbase. i mean would you pay $60 to drive to dripping springs (in the middle of nowhere) to see bands that you had never heard of before? anyone?
