from the link
"It does so by modifying the hosts file on your computer." Wow! OMG that's sooo rad! Soooo ahead of our time! Cause...cause, no one knows how to edit the goddamn hosts file right? Pff...if they wanted to be successful they should infect the machine with W32/Conficker already. Jan 08, 09 | 11:55 am

Nearly anyone that gets infected doesn't even know what a hosts file is.

...aaaaannd, the dumbass assumption that it's only the RIAA who care about getting stolen from.
Anyone who justifies not paying for music simply because the RIAA suck (and they do, they sure do) is fucking a whole lotta non-RIAA artists in the process. Don't want to pay for the music you listen to? Don't listen to music, or go use any number of free, legitimate sources. Come the fuck on. Still, the irony of people being indignant that someone using a hack is trying to stop them from stealing music/movies/software is still pretty funny. On both sides of the argument. Frankly, fuck anyone who hacks my hosts file, or any part of my OS, for any reason. Jan 16, 09 | 8:34 pm

Seriously now... editing the hosts file is so lame it shouldn't even be considered hacking.

What the fuck is a torrent? (I kinda know what it is, so you don't really need to respond). Seriously, though, why is the Internet so goddamned complicated these days?
Also, what's up with these "blogs" that post whole albums up? I mean, I don't have a real problem with someone posting some long out-of-print obscurity. Like I downloaded that pre-XMTP project Scarecrow and it was awesome. But that shit is seriously out of print. I seriously doubt it will ever come back in to print. If I managed to find it used it would probably cost a fortune (and none of that money would go to the band). But other blogs post whole god-damned albums that are in print and easily available. And whoever runs the blog doesn't think there's anything wrong with that. They just have this uber-cool attitude like "I know so much about music, you could never possibly know as much as me. But to help your sorry ass out I'll let you download this album for free so that you don't have to spend a couple bucks. That way you can also be as knowledgable about music as me." I feel like writing the blog owner and saying "Hey Dickhead! Stop posting this shit for free!! The album's in print, you can buy it at BestBuy". Jan 16, 09 | 9:12 pm
