Not sure what constitutes a dark comic, I don't know of any other comics with goth/industrial characters in them but I'm sure there are.

So, what darker online comic strips are out there? I remember seeing one a long time ago about some guy that would hang out at a club, and then ended up becoming the DJ, and it was actually a pretty decent comic. What else is out there?

I've been working towards something of the sort, but I haven't seen much.
What this scene needs is some full-blown penny arcade-style webcomic about a bunch of stereotypical rivetheads who make fun of teh scenez0r and have cra-aaazy adventures. Or maybe not. Besides, the aforementioned link seems close enough. Oct 03, 07 | 12:12 am

Looks like you posted this one a while back http://www.side-line.com/forum/threads.php?id=17547_0_20_0_C I remember when this issue came out. I have a mint copy. :) Not sure if it will be worth anything though... Oct 03, 07 | 12:15 am

@helosix: you're right! Still haven't been able to find any scans though.
Why don't you scan some pages for us? I can't see why the author would mind since it's so long out of print. Oct 03, 07 | 12:19 am

No way! Flatten it out to scan it??!! LP
Actually, was just search for it. I had found scans of the entire thing once before. It's out there somewhere... Oct 03, 07 | 12:20 am

Macro setting on your digital camera + Photoshop auto crop and straighten + Photoshop auto contrast and you're good to go!
No big deal really but I wouldn't mind reading it :) Oct 03, 07 | 12:23 am

@DJTeKslave: that's the guy who did stuff for Aghast View if I'm not mistaken?
I have an AV cd with an enhanced portion containing some of his stuff and have actually been meaning to ask if he's still producing. Oct 03, 07 | 1:34 am

Besides, the aforementioned link seems close enough. I know I'D read it. Writhe & Shine isn't updated often enough, and has become a little bland lately. After all, the best jokes are injokes, and people want to read comics about stuff they can relate to. But perhaps there aren't more than a couple of jokes to tell about this scene, again and again. Writhe and Shine!
I used to love reading that, I thought it was discontinued altogether. A music related one I like, even as its not "dark" is www.questionablecontent.net Although a couple of the characters are "reformed goths". Oct 03, 07 | 4:28 am

I'm still in contact with Steph Dumais. He even made a comp with artists who wrote songs for his comic. I think DSBP was distributing it and Geska Records too.
He still produces his comic on the webpage I sent but I don't think he's printing anything anymore. Oct 03, 07 | 11:04 am
