That's the old Dryft EP, but I didn't have it on hand... same with the Beefcake, but other releases were coming out that were higher on priority lists, atm, at least... the latest Antigen Shift, Ginormous, Bitcrush, to name a couple. Both were available in a sale (that may or may not still be running), so I figured it wasn't worth missing out on them. Forgot to mention getting the latest Horchata (the 'unofficial' release) of Krystallos. Both parts (4 original tracks / 4 remixes) are available through the Ren-Ga netlabel, but Mike offers it for sale, as well, with one additional remix. I think it's only $5, too.

buying up all the mordant music back catalogue, got the baude 7", danceheng 12", tower cd, and the ff 7", the baron shipped my other items yesterday.

Ahh...ole skool! Bliss gets me so AMPED! I sold alot of my 90's cds, but held onto the Numb stuff, it was so raw.

haha.....i'm completely stuck in the 90s as far as music goes.....i keep trying to get into newer stuff, but for the most part there's always something i dont like about it......alot of the newer stuff on metropolis sounds too clean and polished to me.....as far as i'm concerned industrial shouldn't be clean. there is some power noise type stuff that i love to dance to, but i'm a big fan of vocals and lyrics, so i have a hard time listening to it at home or while driving. i dont like the terror EBM vocals. i'm also a big fan of guitar, which you dont hear much of anymore. hmmm....maybe i should actually make use of this site and start a thread asking for recomendations.

the limited edition of chemlab's "burnout at the hydrogen bar" for $6.99. i'd never even seen a physical copy of this. there were only 1000 made because no print shop would print the cover art (a man injecting heroin into his dick).....i may post pictures later if anyone is interested.

The new Radiohead? I saw them on august 28th in Amsterdam and they played 8 or 9 new songs! Most of them sounded very promising, even if they were less electronic, so I've got high hopes for the new album.

And Ones older Machinery stuff was often more of a mix of super synthpop (like Driving with my darling) and a bunch of harder ebm (Take some more, etc).

Nordhausen was the one on virgin records and 9.99.9uhr was put out by a subsidary of Virgin records. Great synthpop albums.

The next two I didn't like. Virgin Superstar had 2 songs I liked. Aggressor didn't have anything I liked, but wasn't exactly all synthpop.

Bodypop and it's respective singles/eps are mostly synthpop and I like them a lot. Maybe 2 embish club songs and a few synthpop clubworthy songs in total.

I will only buy the Nitzer Ebb because I like my NE collection to be complete. The Fad Gadget 4CD set is awesome. Just watching the second DVD now. Great footage from several livegigs. The demos on the CD are great. Mute should have done the same thing with Nitzer Ebb.

I'm not going to play live again for a while, if ever. First off, I have to have a new record that's appropriate to do live (and that is a plan, as the next stuff I wanna write is back to vocal songs and all that... not to be confused with the next stuff I'm going to release, which isn't.)
Also, if you're looking for my first four CDs, they're quite cheap to be had on Half.com usually, as well as used on Amazon and all that... And they're also available as legit downloads through all the major places.
If you're gonna pick up the 2-cd comp, buy it from me directly and shipping is included - and I'll toss in an autographed card of the CD cover, as I always do...

I love hearing that Voiceprint worked for you. I was a little bummed when it came out. It was so different than what was "in" at the time for "industrial" that it seemed doomed to failure. But, thanks to kind words from folks like you, I know now that it was a successful record, if not a little obscure.
I wish I could tell you what I did to make Admire The Question the song that it is. But I don't know. It was almost like I didn't even try, it just came into being or something.
Anyhow, maybe, time permitting, the new material that I hope to write will appeal... :) Can't promise it to be like Voiceprint specifically, but I suspect it might be a hybrid of everything I've done to date. Electronica, guitars, vocals. Rock song structures, perhaps. We'll see, I guess...

I fear that my talk of "new material that I hope to write" doesn't confuse the upcoming release (early 2007 with a little luck) of "Assumed Outrivaling", which is another instrumental record - that's why I keep mentioning it.

Absolutely beautiful hard-bound book of b&w photographs from all around Iceland supported by found-sound/ambient/re-composed sounds from the locations themselves. Superbly eerie and ghost-like stuff. Quite possibly *the* embodiment of my fog-bound week in Iceland.

just ordered the $160 Dissecting Table - Zoujouman metal box set. It's only 4 cdr's and a data cdr in a tin cd case with some artwork but i had to have it. don't know why ichiro decided to charge so much, maybe just to see if he could. either way, it's handmade by the artist and there's probably less than 10 of them. anything to not have a hole in my collection. sometimes playing the completists game can put you in a weird possition financially.

AirCrashBureau: how are you liking "Document and Eyewitness"? I found it to be an odd assortment. Though I'm digging both versions of "Our Swimmer","Ally In Exile", and few other tracks.

I kinda have mixed feelings about this album. It seems like misc. scrap thrown together and aimed at completists (but, yeah, I am a sucker and will keep this one :)

Indeed it seemed to me as well a collection of loose ends to properly end the Wire chapter for Lewis and Gilbert before moving on to other great projects like Dome and Duet Emmo. Got the Controlled Collapse album a while ago but never really listened to it properly until yesterday... to my detriment. I really, really enjoyed what I heard, and while not the most club-worthy music in the world, it has depth beyond the usual riffraff out there, which was nice to hear from a label that might be incorrectly stigmified here with the "terror-banana" label... ;)

Also properly listened to X-Fusion's Rotten to the Core, and again, a brilliant, varied release. What was most striking to me is the old-school Wumpscut influences heavily evident in both of the above albums. :) I like it a lot.

arsis is damn good but i gotta say i enjoy their first disc "a celebration of guilt" and the ep "a diamond for disease" more than "united in regret" which was a bit too technical for my taste. Im hopin "we are the nightmare" combines elements from both.

How was the show? Skeletonwitch are great! and "beyond the permafrost" is a killer album. Whereabouts did u see them?

dunno what ur preference is with metal but the new Death Angel is fuckin awesome! as is the new Bloodbath which has Mikael Åkerfeldt from opeth returnin on vocals!

and i know lots of people hate on COB but their new disc was produced by Peter T. of hypocrisy so it could be a return to form! Follow the Reaper is a great album imho , and pete is a god as far as im concerned.

Sooo... "Cocked and Loaded" is more like a 'meh' Lard record (which the last Lard record was, too...) than something even resembling "Linger Ficken Good". And the mix (mastering?) is some serious treble hell. Fatiguing to listen to. As in, it might not get played again. Anyone want a basically mint copy of this CD? Price negotiable.
The only real positive thing is I spent $15 on it. How is that a positive? It was at my friend's record store - he's worth throwing a little money at, IMO.


The B-52s, on the other hand... not amazing but quite fun. Will get played again. Some kinda "electro" moments here and there, and kinda cool, not-so-mainstream (for them) songwriting.
